A gentle class of focusing on flowing from pose to pose ad linking the movement with the breath.
You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement. Full body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body's range of motion with standing postures, twists, back bends, forward folds, and hip openers,.
A fusion of ballet, pilates and yoga. Our barre sessions will leave you feeling re-aligned, balanced and strengthened. Expect to have fun, increase your stamina and endurance with the use of props to assist with this all over body workout special attention to the legs, bottom, thighs and arms.
Our Slow Flow classes are light and creative,
but slower paced and gentler than our Vinyasa classes. Postures are generally held for longer periods, and the transitions between poses are a little slower.
The more gentle nature of this class is great for beginners, but is also wonderful for intermediate and advanced students who feel like slowing it down and sinking deeper into their practice.
Pilates is a total body exercise.
The traditional method is low-impact, focusing on flexibility, muscular strength and endurance. The exercises are performed with an emphasis on precision technique; balanced postural alignment; core strength; controlled, flowing movements; and using breath to center the mind.
It is a refreshing mind-body workout that emphasises proper breathing, correct spinal and pelvic alignment, and smooth, flowing movement so that you become tuned with how your body moves and for injury recovery, good posture and optimal health
